Our personal development curriculum aims to nurture the whole child by fostering resilience, curiosity and a growth mindset.  Through inclusive learning environments, Christian values, community engagement and outdoor experiences, we prepare our children for life beyond school, emphasising both knowledge and essential life skills.

At Hawkchurch Primary, we strive to prepare children for their future as responsible citizens, willing to make a positive contribution to society with an appreciation of diversity and a respect for British values and equality.  We provide a wide number of rich and varied experiences and opportunities through our curriculum above and beyond the usual offer to develop talents, interest and an individuals cultural capital.  We ensure that our curriculum and enrichment experiences offer children the ability to engage with future career aspirations. We recognise that our children know how to keep themselves safe and how to care for both their mental and physical wellbeing whilst they also develop personal traits and virtues that will motivate and guide them to flourish in our community and in society, with confidence and resilience.

Our Learning Behaviours

We use the following characters to introduce learning behaviours linked to our school values.  We reward children in assemblies with our learning behaviour certificates when children are seen to be demonstrating these behaviours.
