Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our vision, teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

At Hawkchurch Church of England Academy our school values are

 

Friendship - a relationship of mutual affection between people. Friendship is a stronger form of interpersonal bond than an association.

 

Perseverance - persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success

 

Respect- is a positive feeling or action shown towards someone or something considered important, or held in high esteem or regard; it conveys a sense of admiration for good or valuable qualities; and it is also the process of honouring someone by exhibiting care, concern, or consideration for their needs or feelings.

 

Honesty-refers to a facet of moral character and connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, straightforwardness, including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying, cheating, theft, etc.

 

Kindness-is a behavior marked by ethical characteristics, a pleasant disposition, and concern and consideration for others.

 

Pupils who display those values receive a certificate at our  fortnightly Celebrations Assembly
