Nursery
Our Nursery Class known as Rosebuds, is situated in Hawkchurch, a rural village a short distance from Axminister, Chard and surrounding villages.
We offer an exciting indoor and outdoor environment for children aged between 2-4 and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage profile, working supportively with parents to help children develop to their full potential.
Our nursery is led by our Nursery Practitioner Sarah Sherred under the leadership of the Class 1 Teacher Mrs Claire Wiscombe. Class 1 already provides foundation stage activities as well as activities for Key Stage One (Years 1&2). Although all the children are in the same class, they have learning and play activities relevant to their age and stage of learning and their own area within the classroom.
We use Tapestry as a forum to evidence the exciting learning children have been doing throughout the week and communicate with parents daily when children attend Nursery.
