Welcome to the PTFA section of our website.

Fundraising Event

We are incredibly fortunate to have an active PTFA, which helps to provide funding for equipment, trips and activities which help enrich and benefit our school and the pupils attending.

As a parent/guardian or even a Grandparent of a child attending Hawkchurch C of E Primary School, you are invited and most welcome to attend our open meetings which are held as regularly as possible, so that you can have a say on how funds could be raised, and accordingly, how they might be spent.

Friends of the school are also most welcome to join us.

Our efforts over the last few years have resulted in various school trips, including a fantastic outing to Magdalen Farm, and has allowed for the children to attend Christmas Pantomimes at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil.

More recently, they have allowed for the provision of a small outdoor shelter with buddy bench (constructed by the lovely folk at Axminster Community Shed), and larger fundraising campaigns have been run (including our Marathon in the Month of May, Bingos, Film Nights, Quizzes and much more) in order to raise monies which we hope will shortly be put towards the provision of new outdoor play equipment on site, a covered Forest School Area - and a new gardening area in the rear field with polytunnel, raised beds and a pond.

A whole school trip to Seaton Wetlands is also planned in November (23) where the children will learn about winter habitats - and in the New Year, we will be looking to raise funds to assist in updating the school library.

If you think you might like to be involved or would just like to find out a bit more about what we do, please do not hesitate to contact us.

You can email us on hawkchurchptfa@gmail.com or ask the school administrator to point you in the right direction of a committee member. Once at Hawkchurch Primary you will be offered a range of ways to be kept up to date with what’s happening and what’s coming up.

Kind Regards,

Hawkchurch Primary School PTFA
